MATCHING
New Possibility for Connection

Now we can easily send an SNS message to the world and also share houses, clothes or cars. Various items can be bought and sold with just a click, and on the other hand, analog interactions with people are valued again such as seen at rural communities. “Connection” is now so close to us and increasing its presence.

The theme of LIVING & DESIGN 2017 is "MATCHING – New Possibility for Connection". We will create the place for various items, people and companies to be connected. What we propose is the "Home and Lifestyles" of the future focusing on new connection possibilities.

Since its foundation in 2009 under the concept of "Renovation for Residences and Lives," the international trade fair for living space, "LIVING & DESIGN," has expanded the living environment industry business by proposing lifestyles with superior sensitivity in the form of a trade fair. As a result, raising people’s interest in living environments, LIVING & DESIGN has been highly esteemed by many people as an international trade fair that activates the industry and promotes domestic demand. Thus, this fair will play a core role in the economy of Japan that falls far behind other nations in living environments.
"LIVING & DESIGN" has established its own style of releasing the latest information about interior from the trade fair venue and encouraging end users to renovate their concepts of living space while maintaining the alliance with various institutions and shops concerned. At the same time, considering environmental issues and the nature, we aim to integrate unique lifestyles and traditions Japanese people have built up into modern lifestyles with new ideas. By suggesting future lives, while pursuing people’s abundant lives in the real sense, we also try to steadily expand the living space, renovation and interior industries, which results in producing greater economic effects.
